THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL is a comedy drama about the adventures of a hotel concierge and his young protégé in the years leading up to the Second World War.

Language

There are a dozen uses of strong language ('f**k'). There is also some moderate and mild bad language, including uses of 'assholes', 'bastard', 'bitch', 'piss', 'prick' and 'son of a bitch'.

Sex

There is a scene of implied fellatio, as a woman kneels in front of a man's crotch. There is also sight of a man in bed with a topless woman, and sight of an erotic painting in which two naked woman kiss, one woman touching the other's genitals.

Violence

There is brief sight of a severed head being lifted from a basket. There is also sight of a man's fingers being sliced off, when his hand is caught in a slamming door, together with subsequent sight of the severed fingers.
