GOODBYE TO LANGUAGE is an experimental film, in French with English subtitles, exploring the inadequacy of modern communication.

Sex

A brief black and white clip shows a man thrusting rapidly against a woman.

Nudity

Frequent nudity, as a naked couple talk whilst walking around their house. This nudity is occasionally sexualised, for example in a lingering shot of the woman's pubic hair. There is also a scene in which the couple are shown in a shower, struggling with each other as the man tries to kiss the woman and she rejects him.

There are representations of violence in archival clips, including bombs dropping from a plane, people firing guns, and people running as gunfire sounds in the background. There are also some sequences which focus on what may be blood dripping, and blood on a woman's hand, but there are no clear images of what the source of the liquid might be.
