Note: The following text may contain spoilers

FRED CLAUS is a film aimed at children about Santa Claus' estranged brother Fred who comes to the rescue to save Santa's job.

The film was classified 'PG' for infrequent mild language including "crap" and "crapper", mild comic violence where no one gets hurt, and infrequent mild sex references that take the form of innuendo which an adult audience may understand, but would go above children's heads.

The Guidelines at 'PG' allow 'mild language' and 'moderate violence, if justified by its setting, e.g. comic.' In addition, there should be 'mild sex references and innuendo only'.
