FRANKENWEENIE is an animated film in which a young boy with a passion for horror movies brings his pet dog back to life.

Threat

The film employs images and conventions from classic horror films, such as stormy nights and spooky graveyards. Characters face danger and threat but also display courage and resourcefulness. The more intense moments are brief and are followed by reassuring elements. The comic tone of much of the action further lightens the darker moments.

Language

There is a single use of mild bad language ('bastard'). There is also some milder bad language, including uses of 'Jeez' and 'damn'.

The film also features some mild rude humour, including visual and verbal jokes about bodily functions.
