Note: The following text may contain spoilers

FORBIDDEN KINGDOM is a Kung fu action movie in which a young man is transported to a distant land to help an immortal king.

Violence

There are frequent scenes of moderate action violence in the form of highly choreographed martial arts fights involving hand-to-hand combat, swords, daggers, a whip and staffs. These often include elements of fantasy, including flying manoeuvres and magical powers. There is very little sight of blood or injury detail, and the combat techniques are shown to be the result of extensive training and a disciplined approach. In particular, revenge as a motivation for violence is explicitly criticised.

There is also infrequent use of mild bad language ('shit').
