THE FOG is a horror drama, from 1980, in which a fishing town is plagued by a supernatural fog.

Threat

There is prolonged horror threat to townsfolk from the murderous fogbound ghosts of vengeful sailors, armed with hooks, spikes and cutlasses.

There is mild bad language ('shit', 'asshole') and moderate violence: a fisherman is seen to be impaled with a cutlass; another's throat is slashed with a hook; it is implied that a third is stabbed in the eye with a spike.
