FLUTTER is a thriller in which a gambler meets a mysterious bookie who preys on his weakness and makes him do progressively worse things in order to win money.

There is strong language ('f**k'). Milder terms include 'shit' and 'bugger'.

There is strong threat to characters who do nasty and harmful things as bets. These include pulling out a tooth, sitting on an ostrich egg until it hatches, and taking part in an experiment to grow an ear on a stomach. A bookie tries to make a character kill his father-in-law by injecting his hospital drip with an empty syringe; the character is distressed. There is also some grainy news footage of gunmen holding children hostage.

A character pulls his tooth out and we see it land on the carpet and some blood drip around it. We see a man staple bank notes to another man's back through his clothes.

A character urinates off a train platform onto the track. An electric bolt runs through his stream of urine and electrocutes him. A character takes a goldfish out of a bowl and it is implied that he eats it.
