FAHRENHEIT 11/9 is a documentary in which the filmmaker Michael Moore examines the state of US politics.

Language

There is use of strong language ('f**k', 'motherf**ker'); milder terms include 'bullshit', 'asshole', 'screw', 'shit', 'son of a bitch', 'pissed off' and 'damn', in addition to use of the rude 'middle finger' gesture.

Disturbing images

Footage of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting features sight of children screaming and crying and of the legs of a dead body lying on a bloody floor. There is also footage - without graphic visual detail - of a car driving into protesters during the 2017 attack in Charlottesville, Virginia, and of distressed children being separated from their families to be kept in immigration detention.

Discrimination

There is footage of people shouting racist abuse, including terms such as 'nigger' and 'spic'. Some of the abuse is directed into camera.

Other issues include verbal references to sexual assault, references to illness and death resulting from the Flint water crisis, and brief sequences of marijuana misuse.
