ESCAPE ROOM is a US horror in which four friends take part in an 'escape room challenge' and find themselves at the mercy of a possessed killer.

Threat

A group of people are trapped in a room with a man who is possessed by an evil entity, resulting in sustained threat throughout.

Language

There is occasional use of strong language ('f**k'). Milder terms include 'shit', 'bullshit', 'asshole' and 'son of a bitch'.

Violence

Several characters are stabbed, resulting in bloody aftermath detail and occasional blood sprays.

Disturbing images

The opening title sequence contains a series of grainy black-and-white still images of real historical war atrocities including dead bodies scattered over the ground, mass graves and severed heads.

There is a brief scene of suicide, although the death occurs off screen. Other issues include very brief marijuana use.

This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
