THIS IS ENGLAND is a British drama about a young boy who becomes involved in a gang after his father is killed in the Falklands War.

Violence

In one scene a young man is beaten while racist language is shouted at him. His face is bloodied following the attack.

Discrimination

Racist language includes aggressive and derogatory uses of 'nigger' and 'Paki', often accompanied by violence and abusive behaviour.

Language

There is occasional use of very strong language ('c**t') and frequent strong language ('f**k'), often used in conjunction with racist terms.

Occasional drug references occur, alongside scenes of cannabis smoking.
