THIS IS ENGLAND is a British drama about a young boy who becomes involved in the skinhead movement after his father is killed in the Falklands War.

Violence

The film contains a scene in which a young man is beaten while racist language is shouted at him, his assailants calling him a 'nigger' and a 'f**king c**t'. He is badly beaten and his face is covered in blood.

Discrimination

As well several uses of 'nigger', there is other racist language and violence, including a scene in which a shopkeeper is threatened with a machete and called a 'Paki c**t'.

Language

There are four uses in total of very strong language ('c**t') and several uses of 'f**k' as well as other, milder terms.

The work also contains drugs references and characters are shown smoking cannabis.
