ENDER'S GAME is a science fiction feature based on a book for young adults. In a future in which humans have to defend the Earth against aliens, adolescents are trained to become a fighting force to prevent another attack.

Violence

The violence generally features little detail of injury or bloodletting, and for the most part occurs within a clearly fantastical context of humans versus aliens. However, there are two occasions on which teenage boys fight, in both cases as Ender stands up to bullies. Ender feels conflicted about his behaviour and worries about what he has done. Ultimately, the film's message is that violence is not the best way to solve disputes between people, a lesson that Ender gradually learns.

There is a slightly gory moment when a futuristic electronic monitoring device is removed from the back of Ender's neck. This is presented as part of a swift medical procedure. We see Ender grimace for a second as the metal device, with a small amount of blood visible, is pulled out and placed in a jar of liquid.

There is also some mild bad language, including uses of 'crap' and 'smartass'.
