Note: The following text may contain spoilers

THE END OF MEAT is a documentary about the development of alternative food sources for human consumption to those which depend on the farming of animals.

Disturbing images

There are images of animals in factory farming conditions such as small pens, as well as scenes in which they are transported in crowded trucks. There are images of animal carcasses in abattoirs. These are occasionally bloody, but there are no on screen killings.

There is a very brief image of surgical gore from an operation on a human. There is also very mild bad language ('hell').
