DREAM HOUSE is a psychological horror thriller about a family who discover that the previous occupants of their house were murdered and fear the return of the killer. The film was classified '15' for sustained threat.

The BBFC's Guidelines at '12A'/'12' state 'Moderate physical and psychological threat may be permitted, provided disturbing sequences are not frequent or sustained'. The film features sustained threat throughout, which occurs within a contemporary domestic setting, and which involves a young family. It was more appropriately classified at '15' where the Guidelines state 'Strong threat and menace are permitted unless sadistic or sexualised'.

The film also includes infrequent use of strong language, moderate violence, and some occasional gory moments, including brief sight of gunshot wounds.
