DRAGON BALL Z FOR KINECT is a fighting game based on characters from the Japanese anime series. The game was classified '12' for frequent moderate violence.
The game involves the player standing in front of a motion sensor and using body actions to initiate fighting moves on screen. There is virtually no blood or injury detail but there is a focus throughout on punching and kicking. The BBFC's Guidelines at '12A'/'12' state 'Moderate violence is allowed but should not dwell on detail'.The game offers various fantastical elements, including mythical creatures and super human abilities, and these further reduce the impact of the violence . It also includes a ladder style tournament structure in which games are won or lost based on points rather than a knockout or 'kill'.
The game package also includes an episode from the TV series. This includes some mild injury detail and blood.
