DONNIE BRASCO is a crime drama, from 1997, in which an undercover FBI agent infiltrates a Brooklyn 'wiseguy' crew and becomes excessively absorbed in the role, to the detriment of his family life.

Violence

There are scenes of strong bloody violence. In one scene characters beat a waiter viciously, kicking him until his face is bloodied and he is barely conscious; he is also racially abused during the assault. In another scene a protracted exchange of gunfire leads to several characters being killed; there are shots of strong injury detail, including one which shows a character with the top part of his head missing.

There is frequent strong language throughout, including 'f**k', 'motherf**ker' and 'cocksucker', as well as milder bad language such as 'bitch', 'prick', 'shit' and 'ass'. There is also discriminatory language such as 'faggot' and 'kike'.

There are some passing verbal references to drug misuse and scenes in which drug deals take place.

There are infrequent mild sex scenes and a scene of moderate sexualised nudity, in which a male character is entertained by topless women in a jacuzzi.
