DOG EAT DOG is a crime thriller about three ex-convicts who are looking for one last, big payday.

Violence

The film's action is set in a brutal criminal world, which gives rise to scenes of strong bloody violence. These include a man's head being blown off by a shotgun blast, a man being shot in the head at point blank range, a woman having her throat cut followed by repeated stabbings to her body, and a teenage girl being shot as she cowers in terror under a quilt. The callousness of these violent acts, along with the sight of bloodshed and gory injury detail in their aftermath, intensifies the strength of the violence.

Drugs

There is sight of drug misuse including the snorting of cocaine, the smoking of crack, and a character preparing heroin before injecting himself.

Sex

There are strong sexual images in a series of thumbnails on a pornographic website that show female nudity and implied urination, but there is no explicit detail.

The film also contains frequent strong language ('f**k', 'motherf**ker', 'c**ksucker') and some uses of the term 'nigger'.
