DHARTI is a Punjabi language film about an Indian Air Force pilot who returns to his home state, where he becomes involved in a web of political intrigue and jealousy while uncovering the truth about the death of his brother. The film was classified '12' for moderate violence.

The BBFC's Guidelines at 'PG' state 'Moderate violence, without detail, may be allowed, if justified by the context (for example, history, comedy or fantasy)'. The film contains a number of scenes of moderate violence that are too detailed to be permitted at 'PG', including sight of a man being run over by a car, a hockey stick being used as a weapon to attack a man and his bodyguards, and some sight of bloody injury. These scenes are more appropriately classified at '12', where 'Moderate violence is allowed but should not dwell on detail. There should be no emphasis on injuries or blood, but occasional gory moments may be permitted if justified by the context'.

DHARTI also includes some mild bad language (eg 'saala').
