THE DEVIL'S ADVOCATE is a US horror drama, from 1997, about a successful young lawyer.

Language

Multiple uses of strong language ('f**k', 'motherf**ker') throughout, which are often aggressive and/or sexual.

Violence

There are a number of scenes of strong bloody violence, including a man being beaten to death, a man's brains being blown out with a gun, and a scene in which a woman commits suicide by cutting her throat with a shard of broken mirror. The film also features a disturbing verbal description of sexual abuse.

Sex

There are some strong sex scenes, including thrusting, implied oral sex, and nudity

There are also a number of strong verbal sex references, including to anal sex and 'fisting'.

The film also contains some references to drug use.
