DEATH LAID AN EGG is an Italian thriller, from 1968, in which a couple's marriage starts to deteriorate after a distant relative arrives at their poultry farm.

Violence

A man cuts a woman's throat during a violent role-play scenario; another woman is stabbed to death.

There are strong sex references during a scene in which people attend a swingers' party. There is a sequence in which live chickens are slaughtered at a factory.
