THE DARK VALLEY is an Austrian drama, set in the nineteenth century, about a mysterious man who rides into a small village in an Alpine valley on a mission of vengeance.

Violence

There are scenes of strong violence featuring gunplay and confrontations styled on shootouts in Westerns. Bullet impacts and the use of other weapons, such as a meathook and a branch studded with horseshoe nails, result in extensive bloodshed.

Injury detail

There are images of bloody injury in the aftermath of violent incidents, including sight of a man nailed to a cross as a punishment.

Threat

The violence is accompanied by a dark and ominous sense of threat throughout the film.
