Note: The following text may contain spoilers

THE CRIMSON WING is a wildlife documentary that follows the life cycle of a flock of flamingoes in Northern Tanzania. The film has been classified PG for the sight of flamingo chicks in distress.

The film contains several sequences of flamingo chicks being hunted by predators including storks and a mongoose. The sequences do not dwell on detail, but it is clear that some chicks are eaten alive. The film also shows chicks who are not strong enough to migrate across land with the flock. The abandoned chicks are shown, caked in salt deposits before dying. These sequences are set into context by an informative narration and the film's positive conclusions that show the flock flourishing. However it is possible that some younger children may become upset and require the reassurance of a parent/guardian.

The film also includes one brief animal mating sequence.
