COME OUT AND PLAY is a horror feature set in Mexico. It follows an American couple who go on holiday to a remote island, only to discover that terrible events have occurred there and that they themselves are now in grave danger. The film is rated 18 for strong bloody gore and violence.

While there is a strong sense of threat throughout the film, the scenes showing strong gore are infrequent. However, they include sight of a dead body with the stomach cavity and jaw ripped open, and a montage in which laughing children play with the gory body parts of dead adults. We see the children dragging a severed head across the floor and making a necklace from severed ears. Violence is occasionally strong, although it is generally undetailed. However, there is a scene in which one of the main characters attacks and kills a number of children, their young age adding to the impact of the violence. There is also a scene in which a woman suffers a painful and very bloody miscarriage. There is some focus on her agony and on the large amount of blood running down her legs, which some viewers may find distressing.

This film also contains infrequent use of strong language ('f**k').

No-one younger than 18 may see an 18 rated film in the cinema. No-one younger that 18 may rent or buy an 18 rated video or DVD.
