CODE NAME: GERONIMO (2012)

CODE NAME: GERONIMO is a US drama about a team of Navy SEALS who find and kill Osama Bin Laden. It is rated 15 for strong language, violence and nudity.

There are several uses of strong language ('f**k' and 'motherf***er') throughout the film, the frequency of which exceeds allowances at 12A/12. Other language includes use of 'bitch', 'cock', 'dick', 'son of a bitch', 'asshole', 'ass', 'shit', 'bullshit', 'goddamn', 'damn' and 'hell'.

There are scenes where people are shot, with sight of blood from their wounds, as well as bloody detail shown in the aftermath of a shooting. However, these scenes are brief and they do not dwell on the infliction of pain or injury. The film also contains threat in a scene where an interrogator tells a male captive that he will be tortured by being tied down and having his skin peeled off.

Female nudity features in a scene where a man shows his friends photos stored on his mobile phone. The images show him embracing a woman who has her breasts exposed as well as an image showing the man apparently having sex with the woman. Neither image reveals any genital detail. In another scene a woman is discovered naked, having passed out on a bed.

There are also uses of the term 'Paki' by US service personnel when referring to Pakistani police or military personnel. In context the term is used as an abbreviation by the US service personnel, without any apparent derogatory intention.
