CHIPS is a US action comedy in which two California motorcycle cops team up to catch corrupt colleagues.
Frequent strong language ('f**k', 'motherf**ker'), as well as milder terms such as 'bitch', 'shit' and 'asshole'.
Strong crude verbal sex references include a running joke in which several people tell one of the main characters that as he returns to the dating scene, he needs to know that "everyone eats ass now". There is also a brief strong sex scene featuring a naked man thrusting against a woman, and strong sexualised nudity in several 'sexting' scenes in which images of naked women are viewed on a mobile phone screen.
There is male full-frontal nudity in a comic scene in which a man has to carry his naked friend and trips, briefly touching his face against the naked man's crotch, then sending him flying through the air. His genitals are pixillated.
There is strong bloody violence, including a close-up of a man's fingers being shot off, and a scene in which a motorcyclist is decapitated when he rides into a metal cable stretched across the road. His head, still in its helmet, flies up into the air with a large splash of blood. There is subsequent sight of the headless body on the ground in a pool of blood, and of the severed head.
