THE CHILD IN TIME is a UK drama adaptation of the Ian McEwan novel about a children's author whose daughter goes missing.

Language

There is strong language ('f**k'). Milder terms include 'prick', 'dick' and 'piss'.

Theme

A man's body is found hanging from a tree after he has killed himself. There is sight of the man's bulging face and red neck where the noose has tightened.

Child abduction is a prominent theme. We frequently see a couple emotional and distressed at the loss of their daughter.

A brief sex scene shows a couple having sex under the covers.
