CARDBOARD GANGSTERS is an Irish drama in which a young man tries to increase his hold over the drug dealing on his estate.

Language

There are several uses of very strong language ('c**t'). Other bad language includes multiple uses of strong language ('motherf**ker' and 'f**k'), as well as 'pussy', 'cock', 'bleeding', 'bollocks' and 'prick'.

Violence

A man's legs are cut into with a circular saw as he is tortured for information. Blood sprays from the wound, which is visible through a hole in his trousers. A man is also stabbed in the neck and other men are shot or struck by punches and headbutts.

Other issues include drug misuse as men and women snort cocaine at parties. People also smoke joints and are seen doing drug deals in the street. There is a scene of strong sex as a clothed man thrusts into a clothed woman from behind. There are also strong crude verbal sex references. Scenes of threat include men being held at gunpoint or having hammers and axes pushed against their faces.

This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
