THE CAMPAIGN (2012)

THE CAMPAIGN is a comedy in which the battle between two candidates for a seat in the US Congress turns from the political to the very personal. It was rated 15 for strong language, one use of very strong language, strong sex and sex references.

There is a single use of very strong language, which occurs when a character is bitten by a snake. It is not aggressive in nature and is not directed at another person, merely indicating the character's surprise ("F***ing c**tass snake bit me!"). There is also frequent use of strong language throughout the film.

The film takes a broad comic approach to sex, which becomes the battleground of the two central characters. There are two relatively brief scenes in which characters have sex. These contain no nudity but are tonally strong, featuring thrusting and moaning. There are strong verbal sex references and innuendo throughout, which are similar in nature to those in comedies such as THE HANGOVER and THE INBETWEENERS MOVIE.

The film also contains infrequent drug references and moments of comic violence.

No-one younger than 15 may see a 15 rated film in the cinema. No-one younger than 15 may rent or buy a 15 rated video or DVD.
