THE CABLE GUY is a dark comedy drama, from 1996, in which a cable repair man attempts to force his friendship on a customer.

Sex

There are occasional moderate comic sex references, including a sequence in which a man reveals that he inappropriately hired a prostitute for another man as a gift and a sequence in which people play a juvenile charades-like game involving the guessing of 'rude' words. There are a few undetailed verbal references to masturbation and ejaculation.

Violence

Violence is generally comic and slapstick in nature, although there are some stronger blows including a headbutt.

The film also contains some mild bad language (including uses of 'frickin', 'bastard', 'shit' and 'son-of-a-bitch') and a comic drug reference when a man is asked whether he's "on the pot". There is a discriminatory reference to blind people, which gets the character who makes it into trouble.
