Note: The following text may contain spoilers

BRIMSTONE is a Western thriller in which a woman is pursued by a vengeful preacher.

Violence

Women witness or are victims of acts of sexual violence. In one scene a prostitute is slapped and choked by a client during sex. A young girl, who has been forced to watch the ordeal, intervenes and threatens the client with a gun. In another scene a child is threatened with rape while her mother is tied up. There are verbal references to the sexual abuse of children.

Strong bloody violence includes a man being disembowelled and strung up by his own intestines.

Sex

There are strong depictions of sex and strong verbal sex references.

Other issues include strong language ('f**k') and animal slaughter, including a boar being shot and then having its neck cut.
