BONOBO is a British comedy drama about a woman who goes in search of her only daughter, who has dropped out of law school to live in a sex commune.

Several strong sex scenes, including a woman riding a man, a man thrusting into another man, and two men masturbating - implied by arm movements only. Although there is some buttock and breast nudity during the sex scenes, there is no explicit detail. A large sketch on a wall shows a bonobo monkey with a very large erection. There are also several references to members of the commune having sex.

There are five uses of strong language ('f**k'), as well as various uses of milder terms, including ‘bloody’ and 'bullshit'.

In a party scene, adults are seen taking a drug called 'Ebola' from the (real) plant of the same name, after which they are shown having a great time.

The film also contains frequent non sexual nudity.
