Summary Having recovered from a shattering emotional breakdown, college professor Ben Marshall relocates to the countryside with his wife and young son, hoping for a fresh start. He has a teaching job lined up and a new home to move into; things finally look to be going Ben's way. Until, that is, he starts to feel that something isn't quite right in the house. Finding himself plagued by spectral visions, Ben becomes obsessed with uncovering the truth behind a local mystery that appears to be putting the lives of his family in danger.

BLACKWOOD is a horror film about a professor who experiences supernatural occurrences in a remote mansion house where he is living with his family.


Several scenes of supernatural threat, as well as prolonged scenes in which a man stalks and threatens his wife.

Injury detail

There is a scene in which a man stabs another man in the stomach, resulting in some sight of blood. In another scene, a boy is seen with his stomach heavily bloodied.

There are three uses of strong language ('f**k'), as well as some milder bad language ('shit', 'pissing', 'bloody', 'hell', 'Jesus', 'God', 'damn').

In one scene, a man attempts to force himself on a woman, but she fights him off.
