BARELY LETHAL is an action adventure comedy in which a teenage girl - an orphan trained and employed since early childhood as an assassin and secret agent - fakes her own death and attempts to start life anew as a normal high school student.
- Language
There is a single use of strong language ('f**k'). There is also moderate and mild bad language, including uses of 'ass', 'assholes', 'bastards', 'bitch', 'dick', 'pisses', 'shit' and 'son of a bitch'.
- Sex
Moderate sex references and innuendo include the dialogue line, "Canada sucks a dick", and some play on the name Regina, the capital city of Saskatchewan, Canada. In one scene a teenager who has drunk a little too much at a party wakes up and discovers a crudely-executed drawing of a penis on her face.
- Violence
A couple of fight sequences include crunchy kicks, punches and in one case a headbutt. However, little or nothing is seen in terms of blood or injury detail. In one scene a character is stabbed in the back of the leg with a small metal spike and then bashed in the face with a metal plate.
Other issues include some drug references as a father warns his son about the dangers of taking drugs.
