Note: The following text may contain spoilers

BABYLON A.D. is an adaptation of Maurice G. Dantec's science fiction novel ‘Babylon Babies’. It is set in a post apocalyptic society and tells the story of Toorop; a veteran soldier turned mercenary who is hired to transport a young girl from Russia to Canada.

Language

There is one clear use of strong language (‘f**k’) that is directed from lead character to an opposing character. There is also frequent use of moderate language including ‘bitch’, ‘shit’ and ‘arse’.

Violence

There are explosions, impressionistic fight scenes and gun battles in a fantastical science-fiction context. There are occasional bloody moments including a brutal cage fight between a character and a gladiator. Another scene features a bullet entering a body in slow motion.
