AZUR & ASMAR: THE PRINCES' QUEST is an animated adventure about two boys who become separated but both end up on a quest to rescue a legendary fairy.

Violence

There are scenes of mild violence in which characters are attacked by men on horseback with swords, and in one sequence someone is seemingly stabbed with sight of a small red patch on his clothes, although the violence is otherwise undetailed.

The narrative confronts racial tensions, and a European character references some mild racial stereotyping while complaining about foreign peoples. There is also a single use of the archaic word ‘Saracen’ intended as an insult towards a North African woman.
