AUTOMATA is a US science fiction drama about an insurance agent who begins an investigation into claims that servant robots have started to make alterations to themselves to override security protocols.

Language

There are multiple uses of strong language ('f**k' and 'motherf**ker'). Milder language includes uses of 'ass' and 'crap'.

Violence

There are several scenes in which humans get shot with some blood spray into the air or onto walls but without clear sight of injuries. One man is also shot in the stomach with a lit flare but although he writhes around in pain there is no detail of injury. Another man is stabbed in the leg and several robots are also shot.

Sex

Some men are offered the sexual services of a robot. They are given a card which outlines what she can do. The card is visible only briefly but shows a series of basic images of figures in various sexual positions including penetration and oral sex. There are also some images of sex toys on the card.
