ARTHUR CHRISTMAS is an animated comedy about Santa's high-tech present delivery operation hidden beneath the North Pole. The film was classified 'U' for very mild language and mild comic threat.

The BBFC's Guidelines at 'U' state there may be 'Infrequent use only of very mild bad language'. There are occasional uses of very mild terms such as 'hell' and 'ruddy'. The Guidelines at 'U' also state 'Scary sequences should be mild, brief and unlikely to cause undue anxiety to young children. The outcome should be reassuring'. There is a sequence in which some lions chase after the film's hero and his friends. However, the sense of threat is broken up with comic elements and the scene is fun and exciting rather than unduly scary.
