APRIL 9TH is a Danish drama about the first confrontation between a small unit of inexperienced soldiers and the German army during the German invasion of Denmark in 1940.

Violence

There are several moments of moderate violence as the Danish and German soldiers clash. Many soldiers are shot but in most cases there is no sight of blood or injury. However, one soldier is shot with a spray of blood hitting the wall behind him. A young boy is also shot but there is only a brief glimpse of blood on his jumper.

Injury detail

There is one moment of bloody injury detail when a soldier is shot and left with a stomach wound. As he is treated, there is sight of the blood leaking from the open wound.
