ANTHROPOID is a historical espionage drama about two resistance agents who are sent by the allied forces to occupied Czechoslovakia on a mission to assassinate SS General Reinhard Heydrich.

Violence

A teenage boy has his fingers smashed with a hammer, and the severed head of his mother is placed on his lap until he reveals information to his torturers.

A man punches a woman hard on the nose, causing her to bleed heavily.

A soldier sustains gruesome wounds from a grenade and shoots himself in the head with a pistol, splattering blood over the wall behind him.

There is also some mild bad language ('whore', 'scheisse').
