ANONYMOUS is an Elizabethan period conspiracy thriller about Edward de Vere, Earl of Oxford, who some people claim may have written Shakespeare's plays.

Sex

Moderate sex includes a scene in which the sounds of a couple moaning can be heard. There is bare buttocks nudity when the man lying on top of a woman rolls off his partner as they are interrupted.

Violence

Scenes of moderate violence includes a scene in which an assassin is shot in the chest, resulting in some bloody detail. Another moment shows tongs being heated up during an interrogation scene.

Language

Moderate bad language includes uses of 'whoredom' and 'whore'. Milder terms include 'bloody', 'arse', 'bastard' and 'bollocks'.
