Summary Traumatised ex-soldier Ryan wakes up in the back of a van, alongside a kidnapped boy. Ryan helps him escape but when he finds a mask in his pocket he comes to an appalling realisation... But there's no time to act - after nine minutes and forty seven seconds of consciousness it all goes black. What does this have to do with Ryan's past as a patient at the experimental Medical Unit? Ryan has a lot of questions, and very little time to find any answers.

THE ANOMALY is a science fiction drama in which a former soldier's mind is controlled by the unscrupulous owner of a biotech company.

There are approximately a dozen uses of strong language ('f**k). There is also some moderate and mild bad language, including uses of 'ass', 'asshole', 'bullshit', 'shit' and 'whore'.

There are several crunchy martial arts fights and a number of people are shot with futuristic firearms. Little, however, is seen in terms of blood or injury detail. Exceptions are a brief blood spurt as a villain is shot in the head, and the sight of a small bloody bullet hole in another character's forehead.

A brief sex scene includes mechanical thrusting, together with male buttock and female breast nudity.

In one scene naked women dance in glass booths in a brothel.
