AMERICAN HUSTLE is a US comedy drama about a small-time con-man who is recruited by the FBI.

Language

There is use of strong language ('f**k'), as well as milder terms such as 'prick', 'bullshit' and 'whore'.

There is a sex scene, which focuses on faces only. Brief breast nudity is seen before the sex begins. Later, a man asks a woman for sex in a toilet cubicle and runs his hands up her thighs. She shoves him away.

There is violence when a Mafiosi character shoots another man in the neck with an impression of blood. However, the scene is very dark and the action is brief. A man hits his boss on the head with a telephone: there is blood on the man's face afterwards.

There is apparent drug misuse, with one character sniffing something from his hand, and another character smoking what appears to be marijuana. The drug misuse is not remarked upon
