AFTERSHOCK is a survival horror film about a group of friends who are caught up in the aftermath of an earthquake during a holiday in Chile. It is rated 18 for strong bloody violence, grisly images, and sexual violence.

There are frequent scenes containing strong bloody violence and grisly images. These include sight of repeated axe blows into bodies, resulting in profuse bloodshed, spikes and glass shards embedded in flesh, and a trapped man being deliberately doused with petrol and set alight. There is a dwelling on the infliction of pain and injury, as well as a sadistic element to some of the violence. There are two brief scenes of sexual violence, which include sight of rapists' bare buttocks as they thrust into their victims. However, sexual violence is neither eroticised nor endorsed.

The film also contains strong threat, strong language ('f**k' and 'motherf**ker'), strong sex references, and soft drug use.

No-one younger than 18 may see an 18 rated film in the cinema. No-one younger that 18 may rent or buy an 18 rated video or DVD.

This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
