ABCD – AMERICAN BORN CONFUSED DESI is a Malayalam language comedy drama about two young men who are sent to India from their comfortable New York home to learn how to live without the trappings of wealth. It is rated 12A for strong language and moderate violence.
The film includes infrequent uses of strong language in English ('f**k'). In addition, there are bleeped and mouthed uses of strong language, as well as use of the Malayalam word 'Angadipatti'. The film also contains some mild bad language, in English, including uses of 'crap', 'bloody' and 'shit'.
The film includes a nightmare sequence during which men are seen to be gunned down in battle. This includes small spurts of blood as a man is supposedly hit by gunfire, but the sequence is quickly shown to be a dream. There are also some scenes of civil unrest, during which police use sticks to beat members of the crowd, as well as dishing out some punches and kicks.
