The continued high volume of work coming in to the BBFC for classification and increased efficiencies by Board staff mean that we are able to make a 10% reduction to our main tariff for the viewing of film and video. This will take effect for all works received by the BBFC from 22nd May 2003. This is the second similar fee reduction in less than 12 months.
In July 2002 the Board introduced a revised unified fee tariff, so that both film and video are subject to the same tariff ruling. The structure of the fee tariff remains the same and is based on the reduced standard rate. Concession and Charity Rates will be at two thirds and 30% respectively of the new standard rate. The charge for duplicate paperwork has also been reduced and all other miscellaneous fees have been sustained at the 1999 level.
