There are occasional verbal references to sexual abuse and child prostitution, including to children being born with HIV Aids because their mothers were abused, references to child prostitutes being offered for sale, girls being raped and forced into prostitution, children being raped and mutilated and a man remembering childhood sexual abuse. These references are factual, soberly presented and lack sensationalism or supporting visuals. There is also brief reality footage depicting a soldier being shot and falling dead, brief sight of dead bodies following a massacre in Rwanda, sight of a man with healed scars on his face, a man recalling how his mother was sexually assaulted and left to die in a ditch where she was eaten by a dog and brief sight of a dead child. The images in question are brief and the descriptions lack any graphic detail. A man also talks briefly about self-harming as a cry for help, but this is undetailed and negatively presented.
